"Scientific computing has become one of the most important disciplines of our time, but unfortunately, much of the scientific community has relegated vital development of new tools for computational science to staff and students rather than collaborating with their peers. Optimally, this work should be a joint effort between the best traditional scientists in the world and the best computer scientists in the world." — Inspired by the Harvard IIC and implemented by Stanford's finest -- Clustercorp's Scientific Computing group brings great minds together to solve the most difficult problems in HPC.
Dr. Georgi Kalitzin and Dr. Gorazd Medic lead Clustercorp's Scientific Computing group. They have vast experience in working on and managing large scale computing projects ranging from industrial projects for companies such as General Electric Aircraft Engines, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce to leading edge computational modeling and simulation projects in collaboration with Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Labs. Dr. Medic's book on Computational Fluid Dynamics can be found at Cambridge University Press.

Computational Fluid
Dynamics
Dr. Georgi Kalitzin and Dr. Gorazd

Clustercorp's consultants provide services
and support for a wide range of computational fluid
dynamics (CFD) applications. They have an in-depth
knowledge of numerical methods and computational
algorithms, as well as a fundamental understanding of
various fluid mechanics phenomena ranging from
shock-boundary layer interaction to combustion and
multiphase flows. They have specialized in the cutting edge
turbulence modeling techniques that combine the best of
RANS and LES approaches into a new generation of modeling
tools.
Our consultants have extensive experience with a multitude
of commercial CFD software packages; these include Fluent,
Star-CD and CFX. Over the years our engineers have also
accumulated a vast amount of technical know-how and
operational skills with various pre-processing software
tools, such as Gridgen and Gambit, as well as with
post-processing and visualization techniques and software
packages, such as Ensight, ParaView, Tecplot and FieldView.
We also offer training for leading industrial CFD solvers,
as well as for various pre-processing / gridding tools and
post-processing / visualization software packages. Onsite
training is offered for client convenience and access to
your computing environment.

Performance, Capacity & Linux/Unix Services
Dr. Dominique Heger and Dr. Philip
Carinhas
Clustercorp's consultants have a proven
track record in performance, capacity planning,
availability, reliability, security, and design/feasibility
projects for cluster and Grid environments. They have
in-depth (professional and theoretical) knowledge of Linux
and Unix internals, performance tuning, and
stability/setup/maintenance activities, respectively. They
are an active entity in the cluster and Grid performance
research community; hence they have a pulse on current and
forthcoming technologies - they have had hands-on
experience with some of the largest and most complex
systems in the world (such as ASC White and ASC Purple).
Our engineers provide a vendor neutral way to evaluate
prospective desings prior to any hardware purchase, while
ensuring required levels of performance and stability. Our
performance services focus on increasing the stability of
heterogeneous environments, which leads to substantial cost
savings and recovery. Based on the customers workload, we
focus on every level of the system, allowing fine-tuning
application, operating system, and hardware fine tuning
allows conducting capacity planning and substantially
increases stability of the environment, and leads to a more
efficient and cost effective infrastructure. We provide OS
optimization services for Linux and Unix. We cover any
application that runs on UNIX, Linux, or Windows, be it
single-cpu, SMP, or distributed architecture.
Our consultants provide the mathematical analysis and
modeling of the IT environment. The resulting models are
used in capacity planning analysis and design. They utilize
analytical models, PetriNets, and other math to quantify a
customers IT infrastructure. All models are tailored
towards the target environment, as is important to the
client, rather than what commercial simulation tools may or
may not emphasize.
We also offer training, counseling, and education to
support all of our services. We can tailor our classes
towards customers environment and special interests. Our
training services reinforce customers’ IT group
efficiency and knowledge, which reduces the dependence on
outside vendors.
